Question about free dining?? If that happens

We are going Aug 18-25 and staying at WL. Lets say they offer free dining starting on August 26th, If I extend our stay through the 26th would we get free dining for the whole time or just that day??? Does anybody know how it worked in the past??? Newbie here and just don't know how things worked. Thanks for any help you all might give..

You'd have to book two separate reservations, the second starting on the 26th, so you could get free dining for that one day only.

And usually there's minimum stay requirement for packages--rumor is 3 nights. So you'd have to book in a second stay, with tickets, starting August 26, for at least 3 nights.

I know what you're feeling right now--we have flights and ADR's planned around an August 11-25 stay. Sigh. So we're now looking into a late September trip instead.

With Disney discounts it is the check-in day that matters. If a discount is available on your check-in day you can have it for your entire stay regardless if the other days are inside the discount period or not. If you want free dining you will have to move your trip.
