So, I hear all the buzz about Free DDP possibly 8-30 to 9-27 this year. Here's my ? I have my travel dates reserved for 9-27 to 10-2. Do I get the free dining b/c I check in on the last day of the free offer or do my travel dates all have to be within the 8-30 to 9-27 time frame?

I'm just beginning to wonder b/c my BIL that we are traveling with got the bounceback in Sept last year and I believe the dates were the same for it, but he has free dining for these travel dates!

no, they only offered that in the very beginning of bounceback last year, later Sept, they were strict, dates had to fall in between and no extension what so ever.......:scared1:

In the past it was allowed. But the official policy from Disney is that in order to be eligible for a discount or promo, all travel dates must fall within the dates of said promo or discount and can not be combined or extended. Some people were allowed to extend the dates of their bounceback this year. Most were told it can not be done. So , I would not count on being eligible for the free dining for the length of your stay.

Thanks for your responses! Even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. BIL apparently got it while they still let you do this & I just started wondering if I could do it too! I honestly want to move my dates up to the 2nd week of September if free dining is offered, but others in my party are being somewhat hardheaded and difficult! Or maybe I'm just not being so sympathetic with my money. But with free dining, I can go earlier, have an extra day, a vacation schedule that works better with DS school schedule, and did I mention that it will save me $400! :cheer2: However, some people think that the weather will be soooo much hotter 3 weeks earlier that they would rather have 1 less day, pay for dining, let me stress about school, & we'll have to take an extra day of work off (that's another cost). I looked up daily average on The Weather Channel's site & the difference is 2 degrees. Sept 7, avg high temp. = 91 Sept 27 = 89 Is that 2 degrees worth it to me, uh no! :sad2: Thanks for letting me vent...

I'm going on the bounce back Sept. 21-28 so it doesn't affect me but previous years I did run into Oct. and it was allowed. This year I heard it wasn't but I have heard some say that they did get the dates beyond the 27 so who knows, just have to wait and see. Should know in a week or so.

your right, its worth it, but if others already planned last year and you want to be with them, guess you gotta spend the extra $.........can your family just go when you want? Maybe seperate vacations?

So I deleted some of this post because my husband isn't the brightest crayon in the box. He will read this at some point. :rolleyes1

The two that are being stubborn about the heat are my DH and my friend. I don't think her husband is worried about it & I certainly am not. Maybe we can do a Wife Swap show in Disney :lmao: So, this is where my problem lies. I have to talk the two "no heat" Texans :rolleyes2 that have never even seen temperatures below 80 into feeling like it's worth it to go during free dining because I really feel like I'm just spending extra money to go when it's convenient for others.
