Hi Everyone!
We are going on our first cruise May 4th, 2003 (4 Day Wonder). Dh and I would love to go snorkeling on Castaway day. The only way we are going to be able to that is if we can get our youngest two children (ages: 1 yr. and 2 1/2 yrs.) into Flounder's. I'm just worried that they won't get in because it says space is limited. How hard is it to get into Flounders? I plan on going straight there when we board to make ressies. Also, what hours are they open each day? The Disney website doesn't tell hours of operation.
Thanks so much!

This is from the Nursery handout you receive when you sign up on the Magic.....so it is a 7 day schedule.

Saturday.............................................................6pm-12am
Sunday..family time 9am-11am..1pm-4pm...........6pm-12am
Mon.......family time 9am-11am...1pm-4pm..........6pm-12am
Tues..st. marteen.7:30am-1pm............................6pm-12am
Wed..St. Thom......7:30am-1pm............................6pm-12am
Thur...............10am-1pm....familytime2pm-4pm...6pm-12am
Fri.............CC...............................1pm-4pm.........6pm-12am

I would guess that the times may change, but that's what I have. Sign up your kids the first day, sign up as many times as you think you may want to use it and put an * by the 3 most important times (like when you go to Palo). They do their best to give you those 3 times, and then they let you know the evening before if you are scheduled the next day. If you change your mind about a time you requested, you must give them 4 hours notice, or you will be charged for that time.

Hmmm....I wonder how different the schedule is from the 7 day to the 4 day. It doesn't look like they care for children in the mornings. I have read (on this board) that is it best to go snorkeling at Castaway Cay in the morning because the water is clearer.
Thanks so much for your quick response!:)

I just pulled out my information from Flounders from our November 2002 4 night cruise. Here is their schedule:

Embarkation Day 6pm - 12am
Nassau 9am - 2:30pm 6pm - 12am
Freeport 8:30am - 2pm 6pm - 12am
Castaway Cay 1pm - 4pm 6pm - 12am

There is family time from 9am - 10:30am on the Castaway CAy day, but a parent needs to be present for that. Sorry.....

I also agree it's MUCH better to go snorkeling in the morning, since as soon as the masses get to the beach, the sands starts floating around GREATLY reducing visibility. We were one of the first people off the ship, and on the first tram over to the family beach. The water was CRYSTAL clear for about an hour, and then it was murky for all the sand for the rest of the day.

That is EXACTLY the information I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Do you know if the adult beach gets murky as well? I was really looking forward to doing some snorkeling with my husband, but wanted clear water.
Thanks again!:D
