Question about flight price changes...

Orbitz is selling the same US Air flight I booked for $100 cheaper per person.
I checked the US Air website, but their price is exactly the same as when I booked.
Is there anything I can do to get this lower priced flight? Or am I stuck with the flight I already booked last month?
I'm just curious. We don't fly much.

No that may be a special for Orbitz. It would have to be the same flight and the same booking code. You could try calling US Airways but I doubt you will get very far.

Thanks for replying.
I didn't think I could do anything, but I wasn't sure.
I sure would like to have that extra $400 I would have saved, but I'm glad I have my tickets already bought.
Thanks again for answering. :)

Do you have enough (don't laugh) "spare" money that you could cancel the US Air tickets and purchase them on Orbitz instead? Granted, there's a cancellation fee but you should still save money. The balance of what you paid should be held as a credit toward flights completed within a year of the original booking date.
BUT! Before you do anything, how far did you get in Orbitz? If you just saw the fare on the resulting page after you entered your dates, that doesn't mean that's the fare you'd actually get when you started to complete the purchase. More than once, I'd be booking flights for my boss and Orbitz would start with the best price - but when I went to the purchase page, I'd get a message like "That fare is no longer available. The best fare now is $___" Which wouldn't be all that bad, but when I'd check an hour or a day later, I'd be quoted the original low fare - as if it WERE available. Go to pay for the ticket and, yep, fare not available.

.

Keep in mind that the credit would NOT be useable on the Orbitz tickets. Only on tickets you book with USAir so if you don't think you will use this within a year this is a bad bet.

I had the same experience with Orbitz last year. I prefer to book directly from usairways.com but it was much cheaper on Orbitz. I didn't buy the tickets yet from usairways.com. When I started the purchase process on Orbitz, it was no longer available even though it came onto the screen 10 seconds before.
