question about "first trip" and "birthday" pins

Oh that sounds so exciting!! I've been working hard getting him excited for this trip... for someone who's never been to DL it can sound like "just" an amusement park but I've been trying to tell him how that couldn't be farther from the truth - stuff like this will just help him see that so much more when he's there! :)

Do the "first time" pins cost??? And where do you get them from???

:hyper: This is making me so excited! This will be his 27th birthday and his first trip and he's gonna have so many buttons! LOL I'm gonna make him wear the first trip one the whooole time! LOL But I'm sure after the treatment he'll get he won't want to take them off!

In your experience when wearing the pins, do lots of cast members and characters notice them? What sorts of things happen because of it?

Pins are for everyone because everyone can be a kid at Disney! My GF and I just returned from our first visit to DL this past weekend and we each wore a pin every day. The CM who gave them to us the first day gave us each a "1st visit" and an "I'm celebrating" pin (celebrating our first visit of course :)). We got lots of excited cast members asking us how our first visit was going, what we liked best, etc. No freebies but it was a wonderful icebreaker to meet some wonderful CMs! A few photopass photographers had us do special poses holding our pins out to see in the pictures we took.

Make sure you get an "I'm celebrating" pin for yourself! And your BF will quickly realize it's no ordinary amusement park. Walking around Walt's park was amazing! Have a wonderful trip!

All the buttons are free. You can get them at city hall, the Disney Hotels, some of the larger stores and ticket booths. They are really all over. DS noticed he lost his first visit pin when we were about to get on the jungle cruise and he was really upset about it. A CM came to the rescue with one she had in her pocket. :thumbsup2

The buttons are also good for writing your cell phone number on the back with a sharpie. We did that on kids' "I'm Celebrating!" buttons in case they wandered off.

Wow - very cool :) thanks for that :) My little kiwi kids are looking forward to this trip of a lifetime!
