Ok fellow Dis'ers, we think we would like to do Fantasmic on our trip in March.

I know there is a special thing with making a dinner ressie for special seating with F!. So how do I do that? And is it 2 TS credits to do it or just 1?

If we do not use our dining plan to do this can we pay OOP to do so? And how is that done?

My 180 day window has passed so I need to get on the ball and schedule it if I am going to, so any help or advice is appreciated.

Thanks!! :)

Fantasmic Package can be booked over the phone or online. It is 1 TS for Mama Melrose and Hollywood & Vine, but 2 for the Brown Derby. Yes you can choose to pay OOP and it is a specific amount depending on which restaurant you choose.

The Fantasmic package usually has seating at lunch and at dinner, but all tickets are for the first show of the night if there are two on your evening.

You must make sure you specifically state Fantasmic Package if you book over the phone and hit dining events and Fantasmic Package if online.

Hope this helps.

add a couple of notes:

1) The package includes an appetizer, entree, standard beverage and dessert. You can choose anything on the menu

2) The package is designed to fill seats when demand is lower so the times are something like 1:30 - 5:00.

3) We did this in June at Mama Melrose. The dinner was, I believe, $35 for an adult making it a good dining plan value if you're using on the plan.

4) I made our first reservation about our 150 day and later changed to a later dining time after a couple of months. If you don't get what you want the first time, keep looking. Nearer to our date there were minimal openings.

Just want to add one other thing. You will be asked for a credit card number to secure your ADR. (Just like they do with the dinner shows). If you do not cancel more than 48 hrs before your ADR you will be charged a cancellation fee.

As an FYI - I THOUGHT I booked the package online (Brown Derby/Fantasmic)- starting with link in the dining events section - but found out later I had not booked it as the package. Really, I had no idea I did something wrong.

Luckily - when I called to make some different changes - she was able to fix that for me. It did move our ADR time a few minutes so it did sound like there was a chance she wouldn't have been able to give the package!
