Question about end of movie 'Up" SPOILER

Who is the lady in the audience at the end when the little boy is on stage getting his button?

I've only seen the movie twice...once in the theater and we rented it last night...so I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right thing. I think it's his Mother. He never actually says but I assumed that was her. Wasn't it that his parents were divorced and his Father didn't spend as much time with him as he should? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

I agree with you. That's exactly what I thought, too -- the man in the movie sort of becomes a male role model figure for this boy because he's got a deadbeat dad. It was his mother in the audience and his dad is no where to be seen.
