Question about EMH

We are headed to WDW 1/30 - 2/6. I plan on getting 7 day base tickets. I was planning out our days and thought we would try rope dropping every day and taking a rest in the afternoons. I planned out the park days according to who has extra magic hours, but I’m realizing that means getting up before six every day. We are on mountain time so we’re already going to be struggling with a little jet lag. Is it better to avoid parks with EMH?
This is our first trip. It’s my husband, myself, and two daughters, 11 & 15.
We had a trip planned for 11/3 and needed to cancel due to a death in the family. Even though the second trip is only a few months later, it’s a completely different trip and I feel like my brain is fried from planning and second guessing myself. Any help is much appreciated.

They’re awesome when you can actually get there on time, but if you think that’s questionable that you actually make it for the whole hour, I would stay away from the parks with morning EMH.

I don’t know what’s actually scheduled but assuming it’s all 4 I think Epcot and AK are easy skips, as you can easily manage those parks with a regular rope drop and FP. MK is nice because you can accomplish a lot in that hour, and DHS it remains to be seen what will go on but I can only assume it will still be a big benefit at that park especially once ROTR opens.

You're saying that having one of the (if not THE) most popular, difficult to book FP attraction at WDW... located in AK is "easy to manage?"

Without the need for an EMH? Yup. Regular rope drop letting you get there an hour later, possible FP, or getting in line at the end of the night.

It’s really the only attraction that presents a problem there as opposed to other parks that have multiple and a better payoff for getting to EMH on time (IMO), and that’s assuming you can’t get FP for it. I would rather “sleep in” for a regular rope drop and do EMH elsewhere if I had to pick.

This is helpful because I was second guessing the helpfulness of EMH. My girls swear they will get up and are both very willing to go early, so that is likely what we’ll do. Ultimately it will probably depend on what fast passes we can get.

The parks close at 8 every night and between that and an afternoon break, I think the early mornings might not be so bad.

This is the right thinking IMO! Get there early and do some rides, then you got your FP too! Between break and early park closing you'll get enough rest. Being your first WDW trip, there's an extra gear that kicks in :hyper:... you'll be fine!
