Question about Fantasyland with my mom in an ECV...

If we rope drop Peter Pan, can she go to the exit with her ECV and wait there and then join us when we get to the front of the line? She would not be able to stand/walk for 20+ minutes in the Peter Pan line.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we cannot use the ECV return time in this situation because we would like to be holding a LL for other rides later that morning.

Thank you!

When we were there with my Mom about a year ago, they had us all check with the cast member at the exit. They gave us all a time to return and enter the ride through the exit. The time to come back was about the same amount of time as the current wait.

This was nice as it allowed us to do other things rather than wait in line. This was the process for most all of the Fantasyland rides.

I don't know if this has changed or not with the new DAS rules. We did not have DAS for her. In fact they did not grant it for mobility.

I thought that we could not do this if we are also holding LL's for other rides. Is this not true?

I will admit, I'm not certain if we had LLs booked at the same time or not, and I missed that part of your question. Sorry about that!

They do scan all the tickets at the exit, so they would be able to tell if there were a booked LL.

I am trying to remember from when we did this last, but I am nearly positive you can have a lightning lane and a "wheelchair" return time at the same time--at least I am almost positive we did this in the past.

Part of this is because with a return time, you still wait the same amount of time as the standby line--it's not a Lightning Lane or faster access. You're just waiting somewhere the ECV or wheelchair will actually fit until it's your turn to ride.

Also, if you don't use a wheelchair or scooter, you can ride as many rides through the standby line as you are able to while you wait for your lightning lane time. They don't check to see if you have a lightning lane when you get in the standby line--you just get in line. If you use an ECV or scooter, the only way to ride "standby" for many of the attractions (like the ones in Fantasyland) is to get a return time. The only reason for the return times is that the lines don't accommodate wheelchairs and scooters in some of the older lines--they don't have them at rides where the lines can accommodate a mobility device.

And, as someone said above, when you get a return time, it's good for everyone in your party, as long as your party is 6(?) or fewer people. You can all wait together while you wait for the return time window and then enter together.

My husband had an ECV in November 2023 and he could use a mobility return time and genie all at the same time. In fact, we hit jungle Cruise early one morning and we were able to board right away with a mobility return time. You just cannot hold two mobility return times at once. For instance we got a mobility return time for Alice, but our teen boys decided they didn’t want to ride. So when we went to get a mobility return time for space mtn, they asked about the unused Alice mobility return times and we said they could cancel them. Then we were able to get a new mobility return time for space mtn. I hope that makes sense! I would ask the CMs at each ride as they were all super helpful and made us feel comfortable with the procedures since it was the first time we ever had to use anything like this. Have a fun trip!!

Correct one of each 'variety' if you will.

ECV LTR just officially got published too:

Location Return Time

A Location Return Time may be issued at select Disneyland Park attractions. This program is intended to accommodate persons with mobility devices or other physical restrictions who are unable to negotiate some of our older queues which may not be wheelchair accessible.

Location Return Times may be available for Guests who:
  • Utilize a mobility device such as a wheelchair or ECV
  • Are unable to navigate stairs, steep ramps, turnstiles or low lighting
  • Require assistance navigating narrow walkways with a sighted guide or a service animal
How to Use Location Return Times
Speak to a Cast Member at the attraction
  1. A Cast Member will assist in assigning a return time that is comparable to the current standby wait
  2. A Cast Member provides directions on where to return to
  3. Guest returns at the designated time to the auxiliary entry location
Location Return Times are not offered in Disney California Adventure Park. The following experiences in Disneyland Park offer Location Return Times:
