Question about DVC

This may be the wrong place to post this, but I want to know how to rent points for a 2 night stay. How do I know how many points I need? Do I make the reservation, or does the owner? HELP!!!

DVC points are of no real use to anyone who is not a member. What you are renting is enough points for a reservation, and the owner must make that reservation for you.

If you look near the top of the page on this forum, you will see "DVC Point Charts". Click on that and insert your dates for the resort you want.

The problem is often availability. Individual owners may make reservations at their home resort 11 months from the day of check out. At 7 months from the day of check out, DVC members with other home resorts may reserve at that resort. Because of that, popular times can be difficult to reserve on short notice. The earlier you can plan, the better.

Each individual owner will price their per point cost differently. Some points may be close to expiration, and thus be a bit less, but will have more restrictions on them.

Read the FAQs at the top of the rent trade board too. Then post what it is you want in the prescribed manner listed on the Rent Trade board.
