Question about DVC Studios

I'm curious to know about the bedding arrangements in the studios at various DVC resorts. As I understand it, a Queen bed (I think) plus sleeper sofa that pulls out into a double bed is standard. I believe that I read somewhere that you could opt to get two regular beds rather than the pullout (not sure if that would be two double beds or two queens)? Can someone please confirm for me? Most interested to know about Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, and Bay Lake.

If this is an option, what % of rooms are equipped with two beds rather than pull outs? And how would this effect availability when booking if I was insistant upon getting two beds rather than one plus a pullout?

Not a huge deal, just trying to get a better understanding of the offerings.

Thanks!

Hey Andrew,

There are a number of floor plans for different room levels, but I think all of the studios only have a bed and a pull-out. Have you looked on the DVC website? For example, you could check out the BLT at:

disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/destinations/resorts/bay-lake-tower/

(there's no www at the front)

You could also call DVC member services.

Old Key West is the only resort with studios with 2 queens. All studios are 2 queens there. The other resorts studios are only 1 queen & 1 double sleeper sofa, none have any 2 queen rooms.

Bedding types are not an option at most DVC resorts, like they are at hotels. For example, 1 bedrooms at all the resorts have a king in the master bedroom and a queen sofabed in the living room. Some also have the twin sleeper chair. There are no 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms with 2 queens in the master.

well in my younger days - they were fine.

really liked them better than the real bed.

but now - too old....

On the other hand, I love the pull outs at BWV (whether in the studio or LR of the 1BR).

I find them very comfy (and I'm 59).
