We are DVC owners at BCV. If we stay at BCV, is SAB included or would that be considered pool hopping? I hope we don't have to use the quiet pool the whole trip. Walking by SAB and not being able to use it would KILL my son.

SAB is a big attraction for staying at BCV, it won't be the views or the road noise.

Is the quiet pool open 24 hrs? The hours for SAB are usually pretty limited.

I don't know... we stayed on the 5th floor, and had a terrific view of Epcot and Illuminations, and we really didn't hear much noise from the road. I think I'd still choose to stay at BCV without SAB (although I'm not giving up my SAB rights!).

I visited BCV in July and SAB was SO cool. The waterparks were overfull so we just enjoyed SAB (for free!) all week. The quiet pool had hours posted (perhaps 10 or 11pm closing?) but there were definitely people enjoying the pool after these hours. The whole area is lit up nicely so you could easily swim until late. There is no lifeguard during the day or evening. I doubt anyone would boot you out if you were quiet.

Hope this helps.

In August, the lights around the quiet pool went out sometime around 11-11:30pm. Our room overlooked the pool and I was surprised at how quiet it was inside when that not-so-quiet-pool was in use. :)

You will have full access to SAB and your family will LOVE it.

As to BCV perks, our pool view was beautiful, especially at Sunset. The five minute walk to Epcot unbeatable. The quick access to Beaches and Cream, Cape May, Yachtsman Steakhouse and easy walk to Swan/Dolphin and Boardwalk are great! We love the boat to MGM, and the walkway back is great after Fantasmic if you want to zip past the crowds(takes us under 20 minutes pushing strollers). Of course, walking back to BCV after Illuminations is another great perk! No crowds, buses or boats! And if you miss a meal and don't feel like cooking, there is always roomservice, and the pizza was very good!

You'll love owning at BCV!

StormAlongBay is SAB, the wonderful pool/series of pools that connect the lakefront areas of the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. It is SOOOOOO cool. Much of it is sand-bottomed, and there are areas with whirlpools and currents in which you can float along. It's sort of like a little water park. The sides are made to look like rock and there is an area with tons of sand, like a little beach, for children. It's just about the coolest thing in the whole World, and a great reason to stay at Yacht Club, Beach Club, or Beach Club Villas. At some point in your life, go there -- it'll make you feel like a kid again!

How limited are the hours at SAB in December? Is it open after dark? We really like to hang out after dark with a drink and my son loves to swim at night! If it closes early, that might be a reason to stay at the WLV in early December instead. By the way, I'm not talking about 2002, I'm planning ahead for 2003. I just don't know if a "quiet" pool is all that appealing.
