Ok, rumor seems to say that sometime between now and Thursday the Disney VISA code will be out. Rumor also seems to be that it will be for a package (room/ticket) and the discount will be on the room rate.
We have APs....so obviously I'd rather NOT have to buy a ticket if I don't really need to, but I do want a discount on the room. Since we won't know for a few days (or more) whether there will be a comparable AP rate (which of course wouldn't require a ticket purchase), I'm wondering if I should go ahead and jump on the VISA discount when it comes out, just in case.
If I do that......and then later an AP comes out that is better because no ticket purchase required.....could I then cancel the ticket purchase from the VISA code, or am I stuck with it? I'm thinking that since it's part of a package, that I have until 45 days before arrival (so around October 1) to change my package however I want including taking off the ticket. Is this correct?
We're staying at 3 different resorts...so I have this sinking feeling that would mean if the package is my only choice I'll have to buy all of us 3 tickets each, 1 for each resort won't I? That's going to make 9 1day tickets, which is quite a chunk of change, so the VISA deal may not even be possible to be a good deal for me. I don't suppose that because all 3 1days were bought for the same trip that they'd let me combine them, would they? I wonder if I could sell them on ebay for anything close to my cost? Aww shucks, maybe this discount is gonna be a bust for me.
