We plan on heading to WDW after our cruise, but we wanted to explore Cape Canaveral first. Will the Disney bus take our luggage to WDW w/o us? Or do we have to be on the bus too?
That way we don't have our luggage w/us & can go to Kennedy Space Center for awhile.

I went to wdw after my cruise and they pu me and my mom on a 10 passanger van not the bus. They try to use the bus to bring people to the airport not saying that you wont be on a bus but depending on how many people are going back to wdw they most likely put you in a van. You also have to get your own luggae in the terminal due to custom then they take it so most likely they wont be able to take you bags with out you because they will put them in the back of the van you in.

Your welcome mybe try to contact disney and see what they say there might be a way i just dont know about. Most people use disney tranfers to te airport and have to wait for the bus to be filled so if they have people going back to disney hotels you just have to wait for a van to be filled which will be faster. You just go to the bus and tell the mears workers your going to disney they point you in the direction of the vans the driver will hepl you with your bags. So when you get to disney speak with the cruise line cm mybe they can help you arrange for some time there and a way for your bags to be brought to disney. Or you can call ahead of time if not staying at disney before hand and ask have fun.

I don't know if they'd do it or if it would work (I doubt it would), but you would have to book and pay for the bus transfers to have any chance of it working at something like $40 per person. And if you're touring the area you probably would be too late to actually ride the buses and would have to pay again to actually get yourselves to WDW.

Yeah, I need to call & see if they have any way to transfer our luggage from the ship to the resort. I am expecting a no though.
And yes, it's a waste of money to sen dour bags for $120 & then pay again to go ourselves later. This is my DH's idea & I told him I'd check it out.
The shuttle launch is the day we get off our cruise & all the hotels are already booked around there. THis is why we're trying to figure out where to stay & how to get our luggage there so we can stay in Cape Canaveral.
I'll take any other suggestions!

See know you know what will make money open up a place to hold bags for the day and you make alot of money.

You may be best off just renting a car in PC after the cruise. How would you plan to get to WDW after the shuttle launch otherwise? You can keep your bags in the car and then just drive to WDW. If you use a rental company that has a desk at the Care Care Center or S/D you can arrange to just drop it off there.

It depends on how long you will be delayed. When you take the bus to wdw, you wont have access to your luggage right away. It will be put in your room a few hours later.

I doubt Disney will transport just your bags back to WDW for you. How are you planning on getting to Cape Canaveral???
I'm not at all sure you are going to be able to get a Disney bus back to WDW much later in any case. They aren't shuttles per se. They run to get guests from port to the ship or to WDW, and they are pretty much done as soon as the ship is empty. So, the chances of you getting a Disney bus, from port to WDW, after noontime, is slim to none.
But, I may be completely misunderstanding your question.
Best thing to do....rent a car for the day. Budget runs shuttles between the ship and their office. Then, you can put your bags in the trunk, go off and do what you want, and then drive to WDW and return the car there....DTD Doubletree has a Budget office.

Are you sure on this? It's not DME. The luggage would be in the bus or van w/the passengers, not separate like DME.

If they take you by van they put the bags in back and hand them to you at the resort. If they take you on bus i am sure they put them on the bottum of the bus due to the fact they needing the truck to take the bags to the airport. So they dont want to take a truck need for the airport to bring bags to the resort when it easier to put them on the bus and hand them over to disney bellmen to get them to the room.
