Okay, I just got engaged last night :goodvibes and despite the fact that we want a long engagment, for various reasons, I'm already looking at the Disney wedding website.

Now, I looking at the Wishes weddings, and there's a lot to look at. (When BF wakes up he's going to think I'm a crazy person. ;) ) I'm looking at the reception dining section right now. Are the menus at the bottom of that page, http://disneyweddings.go.com/site/wed/cus/rec/dining.jsp the ones Disney always offers, or were they custom.

Figures that the first thing I'd worry about is the food.

I can't answer your question because we're doing an escape wedding, but I just wanted to say CONGRATS!! :cool1:

First and foremost, CONGRATS!

As for the dining menus, I think those are the standard menus. They are more of less a starting off point for couples to choose from. They are very willing to work with you if there is something specific you want which is not on the website menus. I know that they can make most anything that they serve on the property, but I have heard that if you have something from MK made at Epcot it might not taste exactly the same. You would need to talk to the people at Disney about what can be done.

Thanks! Obviously I'm nowhere close to actually deciding to what I want to eat, but I've been planning my wedding since I was like five, and now that it's really going to happen, :goodvibes I just want to start doing everything right away.

I'm sure in a few weeks I'll actually take a breath, come back to the real world, and figure out what we actually could / should do, but right now I have all of these extravagent ideas, (that at Disney, could actually happen.)

I think DF and I just need to set a realistic budget, and then figure out what we do need and really want, and cut out the stuff that I have just to have it. I really don't think I "need" that private fireworks show. :rolleyes1

Congratulations!

Those are basic menus, Disney has a ton of other menus to choose from and anything can be custom made or tweaked! We supplied them with a list of thing we wanted and when we had our tasting session we got to try it all and narrow it down!
