My question is can I use the beach area at some of the other resorts if I am staying at the BWV. My DS6 loves to dig and play in the sand. He will most likely enjoy this more than the parks. As we have seen at sea world.

The beach at the Polynesian has signs that it's only for the use of registered guests. I don't beleive I've ever seen such signage at the BC beach, which would be a lot closer for you anyhow.

As others have said, playing on the beach is fine, swimming (or even wading) in the water is not allowed. The state laws require a visible distance to a certain depth before swimming is allowed in any fresh water in the state. None of the bodies of water can meet that requirement.

Make sure you hit the boneyard in Dinoland at AK. When DD was younger, I think she spent an hour and a half in there one day digging around. It's not the beach, but it's pretty cool.
