Question about Discounts

So I have a newbie question about changing reservations after booking. We're planning on making the trip to WDW 1/29/14-2/2/14...staying at POR and buying 4 day Park Hoppers. I know rates for 2014 come out in July/August but here's my question...We would like to pay off the trip ASAP (before the 45 day mark).

IF we do that, and then a discount is released, would we be able to get money back?? Or is it better to just pay the $200 deposit and wait until October-ish (when discounts for the January timeframe are typically released) to pay it off?

They will refund you if you apply a discount after you are paid in full before the 45 day mark. I read today that they may be releasing the 2014 rates this week, so you should be able to book soon!
