I asked this on the dining board but got little response. Anyone know if they have changed the regular DDP. According to the online brochure on The Disney website the TS meals include appetizers. Can someone clarify this?

Children's meals have always included "appetizers". (They have never been appetizers, rather 2 sides.)

No they haven't .The brochure says in small print next to appetizers (ages 3-9) and they aren't appys in the usual sense. They are generally carrot sticks, a small salad etc

I am not talking about kids menu. The dining plan brochure that is on the Disney website now says that TS meals include appetizer.

Sadossey you are correct the Regular Dining plan brochure on the Disney website does state that each lunch/dinner entitles you to
FOR LUNCH/DINNER
e Appetizer
e Entrée
e Dessert
e Non-alcoholic beverage

but I think that this a misprint for Regular Dining Plan, only the deluxe plan gets the appetizer.

It is the same brochure information from the Disney Dining Plan Locations to the end on both the Regular Dining Plan and the Deluxe Dining Plan.

We started planning our trip in December and I downloaded the brochure from the Disney website for arrivals 1/1/12-12/31/12 and it states

FOR LUNCH/DINNER
e Entrée
e Dessert
e Non-alcoholic beverage

again for private in-room dining it says
Each Private In-room Dining Meal includes one (1) single serving:
e Entrée
e Dessert (lunch & dinner)
e Non-alcoholic beverage

The brochure ends with a date ©Disney 110211.

After seeing this thread I followed the link and seemingly downloaded the same brochure, but says
FOR LUNCH/DINNER
e Appetizer
e Entrée
e Dessert
e Non-alcoholic beverage

and for in-room private dining
Each Private In-room Dining Meal includes one (1) single serving:
e Appetizer (lunch & dinner)
e Entrée
e Dessert (lunch & dinner)
e Non-alcoholic beverage

That brochure closes with ©Disney 31412.

So it appears the current brochure is an update from March 14, 2012 and is now advertising that the regular DDP includes an appetizer. It would be hard to call it a typo when it was deliberately put in two different places.

I was under the impressiont that appetizers were not included, but would be pleased to get them on the plan.

Actually, not quite the same. The Deluxe Dining Plan allows for appetizers at Signature Dining. The regular brochure appears to not allow appetizers at Signature Dining.

Kind of curious that change [I'm leaning towards it being a typo incident myself], but it is still there.

I just spoke to a CM. She said that she had a couple of calls on it already today. She first advised that if I printed out the brochure and brought it on our trip they would honor it and include an appetizer since that is what is currently included in the brochure.

During the course of our call, she received a message that it was a mistake that Disney was working on fixing and that she should advise people it is a mastiake and that the regular Plus Dining does not come with an appetizer.

So it seems like no appetizer. I told her it was not a problem and I was just looking to clarify it for myself. Hard to get very riled up, when I originally thought it did not include an an appetizer, then for a second I thought it did, and now have confirmed it does not.

I would like it if you got a choice of appetizer or dessert, but that is not, and never has been, the deal.

Closing this as we have a whole other thread going on the same topic, including all the same back and forth from WDW-DINE as to whether or not it is an error.
