Question about dining plan.

Hi, Iam planning on booking the dining plan direct thru disney for next august.

What if I book this and it then becomes free dining again for this period?
Will I be able to get my dining plan free if this becomes the case or because I have booked it 11 months or so in advance will I have tp Pay??

Iam obviously hoping disney bring out free dining again for that season but even if they don't I will be happy to pay for the dp.

This happened to us this fall, we were booked and then they offered the free dining again. We were able to add it but we had to change resorts because Pop Century's free package were already filled. If Pop would've had some packages then they would have just added to our package. So we just switched resorts and got free dining and we are excited....we leave in 8 days

I think the key is that you will get to change you reservations if the free plan is offered again. However, it appears you have to have those slots available at the same time and in the same resort for you to just get them free, as indicated above.

If you watch closely and call as soon as a plan may be available, it shouldn't be difficult to simply upgrade.

Iam actually booking a package already with disney because we all need an extra day ticket as we already have 5 day hoppers so I thought i might as well book a package as in tickets and hotel with disney then if they offer free dining Iam already a "package"
Does this mean I wouldn't have to change my ressie if the free dining was offered?

If it is not offered at your resort, or there is no availability left, you would have to change resorts.

I have a AAA package, and CRO told me that if free dining comes out, they can add the code to my existing reservation:

IF THERE ARE ROOMS AVAILABLE IN THE RESORT AND CATEGORY I HAVE BOOKED!

If they don't have availability in my resort and category, then the ressies would have to be changed.

Other package discounts may vary in their applicability to my existing reservation.

That being said, the info given by CRO is not always correct, but I was talking to one of the Grand Gathering CRO agents, who seem to be more experienced than standard.

I am kind of new at all this Disney stuff. Going for only our second time in October. Can someone explain the "Free Dining" that everyone is talking about. Thanks.

I wouldn't count on free dining being offered again. Disney rarely runs the same promotion twice.
