Question about Dining Plan - Beverages

Hi! I have a quick question. We have booked the magic your way package with the dining plan. When ordering a beverage, are you able to get things such as:

Stars and Stripes with Glow Cube - Frozen Tavern Punch or Milkshake of the Week, served in a Liberty Tree Tavern collector's mug $8.99

Mickey's Be-Bop Specialty Drink - cherry flavored sprite with Dad's electric glowing ice cube served in a souvenier cup $5.99

Anybody know?

I too would love to know that answer. DD7 likes those special drinks. We did have the dining package when we were there 2 years ago and at the Brown Derby DD ordered a specialty drink with the glowing ice cube and we weren't charged for it. So hope to find out we can order those.

I think the answer may be "it depends." However, I think most people have found that the specialty drinks are NOT included. Then again, it doesn't hurt to ask your server if you can get them.

They aren't supposed to be covered on the plan but if you plan on paying out of pocket for it and just go ahead and order it sometimes the server might not charge you for it. Don't count on it though.

I think there is no definitive answer here. From what I've read on two different discussion boards it does sound as though it depends totally upon your server. I agree with the above poster who said to go ahead and order those drinks and to plan on paying for them out of pocket..you might get a nice surprise and not be charged! Its certainly worth a try if you normally order them anyway.

The brochure reads "1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage." It sounds like it should be covered. When reading the non-covered areas, it does not mention specialty drinks at all.
