In the past we usually made pretty last minute ressies, like a month or less as we are in Florida. I've always had to pay for one night right then and there on the phone. But I always though that you make the ressie and then it comes in the mail with a deposit due by notice. We are going mid April, so in 2 months. Our money for the trip is coming from our tax refund which we don't have yet and i don't have an extra $200 just sitting around (we want to stay at CR) for the deposit right now. But it sounds like rooms are filling up quick for the time we are going. If I called now, would they make me pay an immediate deposit? TIA

I think you have 10 or 14 days to pay a deposit on room only or packages. But on room only the final is due at check in and on packages the final is due 45 days prior to arrival. :flower:

If you call now they will give you the option of one nights room charge on a credit card with the remainder due at check in, or the courtesy hold with the one night due within 10 days by check, provided you receive the paper in the mail. With all the problems I had getting a confirmation letter from them for our April trip ( had to call ~12 times before I received the first one :earseek: ), I try to figure out a way to put it on a credit card if possible.

I would try and put it (the $200.00 deposit) down on a credit card. You don't want to wait and then loose the reservation.

You have two weeks from the time you make your room only reservation to pay your deposit. Balance due at check in.
