Question about DDE card

Hello,
I have been an AP holder for the last three years and I am so excited to take advantage of the DDE benefit. However, we need to buy new AP's on this trip and we are going to wait until our first day in the parks to buy them. Can I phone the DDE line from POR (with the AP number on back) and get them to fax me my confirmation for my DDE card so I can start using it the following day? I know that the DDE line is only open during the week so I would wait until Monday to buy the card. What do you guys think?

Have your AP's expired yet? If not, you could try to order the DDE right now. Otherwise, you can call from the resort after you have your AP's and they should be able to fax you a copy of the letter to the resort so you can start enjoying your DDE card right away.

I've never heard of having a letter. We were told we had to have the card to use it, but this was before they dropped the rate and let everyone with an AP get the card. Maybe the rules have changed.

The DDE office is still backlogged. I would be worried that I wouldn't be able to get ahold of someone while I was on vacation.

Can you buy AP vouchers now? That way you could order the card? The DDE office will email/fax you a letter to use prior to receiving the cards. We used our letter in Feb. with no problems at all.
