question about cruising on points

We may use some points to cruise in 2010 but my question is this - if we book one or two guests in the stateroom on points and the rest with cash will we have to pay upfront (which I think was the situation the last time we cruised) or can we pay it off over time as we could if we booked all cash thru DCL?

When you purchase a cruise through MS, you must make the payment at the time of purchase.
