Wife wins! The Pepper Market is the CSR's "food court" and yes, they do serve steak.

But can you eat it outside ??? pepper market is inside only isnt it ?

Yes, you can take the food "to go" from the Pepper Market and eat at one of the tables by the lake (and look for "Ally" while doing so).

ally ! no way !

thats on the other side of the lake isnt it ?

ok she wins but I wont tell her ...Il let her se me doing it when we go next month :rotfl2:

The steak is still on the menu?? I read somewhere, can't recall where that it was gone. I only recall because so many were upset since they were using the dining plan.

They took the ribeye off at lunch, but there is a different steak at dinner.

If you take the food "to go" and eat outside, you don't have to pay the ridiculous Pepper Market 10% Fee, either.

If they assign you a table and bring you a drink, they charge 10% for it. Even if the food court is totally empty and waiting for them to assign you a table just takes up more time out of your life, you're still charged.

I don't like the 10% fee, but some people just adore paying it.

I don't know that anyone "adores" paying for it but they enjoy the restaurant and tend to overlook it. We've not paid it except for twice during our many times eating there during our eight stays. We either had the dining plan which it was covered under until last year, or we've always taken our food to go to eat outside and enjoy the scenery.

The problems with eating outside are that it is sometimes hot and a person would just rather be inside. Or it is raining and, again, inside is better.

I would not call the Pepper Market a restaurant. It's a food court where they assign you a table, bring you a drink and charge you 10% extra for that. You're still getting all your own food and standing in different lines to do it.

I've seen people on the DIS saying that they are "happy" to pay the 10% extra. Some, like me, don't like paying the Pepper Market Fee. Some, like you, will simply "overlook" it. Others are pleased as punch to pay extra. Different strokes, different folks.

I don't like the Pepper Market Fee.

It is 10%. At one time it was covered under the free dining, but it no longer is. There is also Cafe Rix, the new "grab and go" that was not there when you were last there. If you go to the link in my signature for the "unofficial CSR thread, there are pictures of the menu -- they have sandwiches, etc. There is no 10% CHARGE THERE.

You have helped a lot ,thank you. I saw the photos you mentioned. Looks real good to me. Only thing left to do is start driving from connecticut on the 6th (6am) and check in. Can't wait to be there as its been to long, what is it about the resort and disney. Lol. How late does the pool bar stay open. Lol. Thanks again. :thumbsup2
