Question about Chef Mickey's

This might be a dumb question, but do we need admission to the Magic Kingdom to go to Chef Mickeys, or can we just take the monorail to the contemporary from the Magic Kingdom parking lot instead of going to the Magic Kingdom (we're staying offsite). Thanks!

I don't think you need admission the MK, since Chef Mickeys is at the Contemporary. You should be fine taking the monorail.

Yes, at the MK Arch (Where you pay to park) get all the way to the right. You will have to go right at the fork which is literally right past the booths. Tell them at the booth that you are dining at the Contemporary and they will wave you in (don't have to pay). You are allowed to park at the Contemporary for up to 3 hours when you dine there.

Just so you know, the MK parking lot is not actually at the MK. It's at the TTC. It would be easier and cheaper to just drive directly to the Contemporary and avoid the parking fee.

If your reason for parking at the MK lot was to ride the monorail, you can still ride if you park at the Contemporary, just take it all the way around.

Thanks everybody! We will probably be going to one of the parks that day so we will be paying parking anyway - I just wasn't sure if we would want to go to MK and I'm not sure if we will buy Park Hoppers. I guess if we decide not to go to MK that day it would make the most sense to drive to the Contemporary. I've never eaten at one of the resorts before without staying there, so I wasn't sure how that worked.
