Question about Check In Day

Let's say that on day 1 of our stay, we get to WDW at 9:00 am. Can we go to the resort in the morning of check in day and leave the car parked at the resort while we go to the parks, or do we have to pay for parking at TTC? Thank you!

You can actually go ahead and check in at your resort....your room just might not be ready. Have a great trip!

Either way. You don't have to pay for parking at the TTC, because you are a resort guest that day.

Oh wonderful! Thank you! I've always thought that we would have to wait until we were officially checked in, so we never planned a park day on day 1. I will now!

Not only can you park, but they will also store all your bags until your room is ready if you do not want to leave them in the car.

It's much to your advantage to check in when you get there (either online or in person) even if your room isn't ready yet. That way, Disney knows you are there and you can get all the paperwork completed. If you opt to not even go to the front desk via online check in, no big deal since you will be texted or phoned with your room number. But if you go to the resort to park, you cold just walk in, go to the front desk for check in (either stand by or online) and they will know you are actually physically there. Then, leave the car and your bags and take the Disney transportation to your park of choice and once you are done with your day, all you need to do is go back to the room as you don't have to go to the front desk for anything and it's something you don't have to think about all day.
