Question about check in and discounts....

If your ressie starts the last day of a promo and you end up not actually checking in until the next day(even though you paid for the day before) do you lose your discount? Worried about family getting a late flight and not being able to check in on time. Thoughts?

something like this happened to us once! we missed our connecting flight in GA and got stuck there overnight. I called the hotel and told them I was stuck in GA and my next flight wouldn't be in until 11am the next day. They said that was fine. It was the last day of FD so I was very worried about losing that discount. But they let me. Now this could be different now as this was a few years ago. Hopefully its still not an issue.

This question has come up in the past when free dining was offered. For that particular special you had to physically check in at the resort on a day when the special was in effect. If someone paid for the last night of the special, but didn't check in until the next day, they would be checking in after the end of the special so they no longer qualified for it.

The PP had a different circumstance. She was already on her way to DW and intended to arrive on time, but missed the connecting flight. This was beyond her control and something that Disney could verify with the airline so when she arrived the next day Disney honored the promo.

Disney's computer system does not roll over until approx. 6am. Magical Express runs 24/7. Even if they get there in the wee hours of the morning, they will be just fine.

Good, I was concerned for them With everything happening with the airlines right now, delays are very possible!
