Question about Cheaper By The Dozen (book version)

My son found out this afternoon that he got the part of Larry in the school play of Cheaper By The Dozen, based on the book. We don't know who Larry is, though. LOL!!!

WIll someone let me know who Larry is??

I read that book dozens (ha ha!) of times when I was in middle and high school, and I don't remember a character named Larry. Maybe they have renamed the hired man - can't remember his name, but he was a pretty major character.

Here is the entire Cast from the 1950's version but I do not see a "LARRY"!!! :

I absolutely love this movie...watched it many, many times on late night movie reruns!!!

I loved the original movie...Clifton Webb was so good in it and Myrna Loy.. Maybe they are adapting the book and adding characters....so that more children can be in the play??

On another goodle page, it mentions in the play..Larry plays one of the girls boyfriends!

Thanks!! He would've found out, obviously, when he went for his first practice, but we wanted to know now!! LOL!!
