Question about charging to the room when two families a resharing a villa

We will be at Aulani sharing a two bedroom villa with another family in March.
My question is in regards to KTTW charging....can we put two credit cards on file so that each family's charges go to the appropriate CC? Or do we have to put all charges on one card and figure it out ourselves?

I'm pretty sure you can link any credit card to any room key. We ran into this at BWV and it wasn't a problem at all.

P.S. You are going to love Aulani. We were there in April and it's the best vacation we've ever had.

While resorts have the capability to tie to different charge cards, most do not allow it. I guess perhaps the computer system has issues.

Anyway, a good alternative is to all charge to the same card, and then the night before you check-out get a print-out of the charges. Each card has a unique sub-number, the printout will be sorted by sub-number, and then you can each pay the appropriate balance at that time.

Aulani may not use the same Front Desk system as the mainland resorts so their abilities may be different.

FWIW a CM posted several years back that it can be done at any WDW resort but that some CMs don't know how to do it. He recommended asking for a manager if the CM at the front desk says no.

We did it with no problem last January at OKW. We were with another family with a bunch of kids. So we had our credit card on our key cards; they had their on the adults and the oldest kid; the youngest kids did not get charging privileges.

Took a little while, but there was no problem in getting it taken care of.
