Hey everyone,

I am not sure about where to post this so I figured I would just post it here. I was wondering about charging to the room key. Can I charge anywhere in WDW such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? Also, do they put names on the cards because I don't want to give my children charging privileges? I am going to be using a different cc than the one I booked my room on so I figure I will have to tell them when I check in and leave it then. Also, at the end of my stay, will the resort print out a bill for me to see all my charges? Is there a limit on how much I can spend daily? We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks for all your help!

Yes, you can use your room key to charge anywhere in the World - restaurants, gift shops, etc. Each person in your room that gets a ticket will get a room key, so kids under 3 will not have one but everyone else will. And, you'll need them to get wristbands for evening EMH so carry your kids' keys even if you don't plan to use them. But, you can select who will get charging privileges, so obviously you exclude the kiddos. When you check in, the CM will ask you if you want to be able to charge to your room, just say yes and present your card. At WL, you can build up $1500 worth of charges before they charge your credit card. You will get a bill at the end of your stay detailing your charges, including date and location so you can compare to your receipts and look for anything that is wrong.

I hope this answers your questions! Have a magical trip!

You can also request a copy of your charges so far at any point during your trip, simply go down to the front desk and they will print one off for you.

Just a warning though, while most shops and restaurants do accept the room charge (in fact, just about all of them do), some of the carts do not. You might want to carry around a couple dollars cash as a "just in case".

Distaster struck MGM one Magical Extra Hours evening in May 2007.

Computer lines were down and NO one could room charge. If you did not have $$ or a CC you could not eat/drink/shop.

Since the rides I wanted were not open I went back to OKW and they missed my spending.... It does happen, So carry alternative payment methods.

Thanks everyone! I have decided that I probably would give myself room charging privileges and then carry my debit card on me.
