Question about changing resorts

Hello,

We are starting @ PORS and then moving to AKV. We will not have a car and I was wondering if anyone knows how I will get my luggage from PORS to AKV (renting points).

Do I need to call a cab or?

We notified the front desk at check in and told them we would be changing hotels and that we needed assistance with transferring our luggage. When we checked out of the first hotel, they gave us tags to put on our luggage with our names and the name of the Disney hotel we were transferring them to. We gave the baggage area our tagged luggage, went to the parks for the day and when we arrived at our second Disney hotel our luggage was waiting for us in our room upon arrival. It was a very smooth procedure. We could tell they had done this before.

when did you check in to AK?

we're doing the same thing next year but we didn't know if we go to AK after POR and check in then go to the park or just go to the park after checking out of POR and check in to AK later in the day

Just inquired about this myself.

As was mentioned, contact Bell Services 24 hours before you are ready to switch and give them the info. They will give you tags and pick up your luggage for you and transfer it to the new hotel. It is a wonderful thing. Just like the Magical Express will do for you to and from the airport. Great service.

With this service it seems we will be able to check out of PORS and go to a park and then take the bus around noon to AKV - check in and go back to the park.
