question about carryon and delta

So my trip is coming up (just paid it off ) and I am starting to get all my p's and q's in order and was just wondering about how do you carryon a laptop ?with Disney having free wifi i know can bring my laptop to check my accounts and everything so I was just wondering whats the best way to carry it on the plane i am planning on bringing a tote for my carryon should i just put it in there please help......

you can carry it separate in your laptop case. You are allowed a carry on and a personal item, and a laptop is in this category. My DH and I do this all the time.

I carry a netbook in a Vera Bradley laptop bag.
Just make sure that it is easily accessible because you will have to take it out of the bag so it can go through the security by itself in a tote! Makes going through security a lot easier to slide it out and back in.
Wireless in Disney is great and we stayed at the BC in December and it works awesome
Don't forget to lock the laptop up when you are not in the rooms.
Not saying that there are thieves in Disney World but better safe than sorry!
A cable lock tied to a desk or locking it in a suitcase is quick and saves some hassle just in case. I have used both and it is easier to lock it up in a suitcase with one of those TSA locks. I used that method overseas to lock up items when the safes that were provided were questionable with keeping items secured.
