I think I have this straight, but before I call MS I'd like to be clear in my mind.
We were using Aug'08 points for a stay from 10/13/08 thru 10/20/08. We're going to cancel and I have to take care of this. My DH has always been the one to call MS.
I believe I have to call at least 31 days (Sept 11th) in advance of the first day of the reservation in order to have the points put back into our account and then we can bank by the new banking dates if that's what we decide to do. I don't think there's any penalty as long as we cancel before the 31 days out.
We had to cancel once before but that was only a week in advance and the points went into a holding account and we could only use them under certain conditions.
I don't want to wait 'till the last day, but I don't want to cancel too early in case someone (family) may want to go.
If someone could confirm that I'm right I'd appreciate it. If I'm wrong, please help. Thanks.
