Question about buying tickets

I need to buy 1 ticket for a child. Our trip is coming up quickly. If I purchase the ticket on the Disney site, do I get a virtual ticket in order to book Fastpasses?
Can I have the option of picking up the ticket at guest services? I don't think I will be in time for them to mail it to me

Do you already have your MDE account set up?

When you buy the ticket, select the will call pickup option. The ticket should automatically attach to your account, so you can make FPs. If it doesn't attach automatically, your confirmation email should give you the ticket number that you can add manually.

You don't actually need the paper ticket if you are staying onsite, since everything will be accessed through your magic band. If you are staying off site, you can pick up the ticket at any guest relations window outside any park or at DTD.
