Question about buying Gift Cards at Target

I read in a thread that Target sometimes will give a $5 gift card with the purchase of two non-Target gift cards.

Does anyone have any information about this?

Has it already happened for the year? Does it ever happen in the Spring?

They had a 10% off deal a week or two ago on GCs but I haven't seen a $5 off card. The 10% off seems to be the thing now.

Last year, they did the 10% and the buy two get $5. The ad scan for next week doesn't show the $5 deal, so I guess they're not doing it this Christmas. (You can find Sunday's ad scan at Totallytarget.com.)

If these are the ones that you bought at Target when it was 10% off (on December 4) - or even not - I suggest you cash those in as soon as possible. There are reports of people's online and physical gift cards being drained completely on the other thread, I think it's titled "Disney Gift Card Deals".

Agree (unfortunately). They are advertising gift cards in their circular but no deals this far.

I went this morning and bought $300 of Disney gift cards with the $300 gift card I had my husband buy online.
So I had to buy 6 $50 cards. I'll hold off on the others and do them each time I go just in case...
