Question about buying gift cards at CVS

Our insurance does reward points for good health decisions. The points can be redeemed for gift cards at various businesses. I usually get them for some restaurants we like to go to when on vacation.

This year I am thinking of redeeming them for a CVS gift card so that I can take the gift card to CVS to purchase cards for restaurants that are not available on our insurance site.

Does anyone know if you can use a CVS gift card to purchase other gift cards? I know at some stores you must use cash or debit card ot purchase gift cards for other businesses.

I looked on their website & didn't see the answer. When I Google, all I see is how to buy CVS gift cards.

I tried and the answer was a resounding "NO!!" The cashier was pleasant about it but quite firm.

oh, I wish we could get Walgreens cards, but I don't think they're on the list. But I will double check. Thanks!
