Question about buying DLR and WDW passes from Australia

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has had any problems with this. I'll need to get a set of tickets for 2 adults and 1 child (plus one child aged 2.5 who gets in for free as I understand it). Last trip, we went to DLR and it was easy. Buy tickets via Expedia and redeem them for actual tickets at the DLR ticket window. DLR seems to be more casual than WDW wrt booking restaurants etc.

Tickets for the other two will be relatively easy. There's lots of options to buy tickets for both WDW and DLR, from Expedia to my local travel agent to undercovertourist.com and direct from Disney etc etc. But there aren't many options for buying annual passes online - I will get get a premier pass for myself so we get access to discounts etc, but I think I have to buy it in person at the parks.

My question is will I be missing out on any reservations etc etc for dining, BBB, fastpass+, magic bands and whatnot? In other words, is there anything important or essential that is linked to the park entry ticket that I need to consider?

I think the ADRs can be linked to a resort booking (as opposed to a park entry ticket) for a 180-day reservation window?

I'm pretty sure you can buy the premier pass online from the Disney site and get an exchange certificate.

Once you have the exchange certificate number, you should be able to use that to set your account up in MDE.
I think you will need the park entry ticket in order to book FP+ in advance but it may be linked to your resort booking. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it is linked to the resort booking because that's how the system knew I was going to be there 2 months in advance.

ADRs are not linked to either a resort booking or a park entry ticket. You can stay off-site and make an ADR.
A resort booking will let you make ADRs 180 days in advance and for a 10 day period after your window opens up.
Without a resort booking, you can make ADRs 180 days in advance. You will have to call each day at the 180 day mark for reservations as each day opens up if you are staying off-site.

Thanks PIO. I'll look further into it. It looks like you can't get the premier online, but you CAN get the WDW premium pass. So I might get that and then upgrade it to a premier just before we go to Anaheim.

I think technically you could buy any park ticket, and then upgrade it.

You can book ADRs online now, so you don't have to call (not for all restaurants, but most of them).

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus. Though what I might do is order a premium WDW annual pass so that I can get the AP discounts from day one As long as I upgrade it to the premier before I need to get into Disneyland, should be ok.
