Question about borrowed points

I hope you can help me. I have a ressie in june for Hilton Head. I just found out that I am hosting a Scottish student that week, so I have to cancel. Here is the problem--- I borrowed 25 points to have enough for the vacation. Can I call up and ask to apply the borrowed points to my april vacation and then bank the rest. I can bank 100% until May. Or will this be considered a new reservation if I exchange the current points for borrowed ones? TIA Nancy
