Question about booking...

Good morning all! I just have a quick question about making my room only booking for Jan. We are going to stay 1 week in Jan. but there are 2 possible weeks I am looking at. I know packages aren't out yet so I have to book room only. Could I book for 2 weeks just to "hold" my room and then as soon as we decide cancel the one week? I don't want to be unfair to anyone, I just want to know if this is possible? Thanks a bunch.

as far as I know, when you book you only pay for one full night, and pay for the rest later. if i am wrong on this someone plese correct me (this is all I had to do to book my room for January) good luck!
