Question about booking Villas?

I'm thinking about booking a 2 b/r villa at Beach Club in Sept or Oct '08- whenever I try to price any of the villas nothing comes up available for any DVC resort for that time of year.

Do they release rates for the DVC properties later on in the year? Any idea of when you can book them?

As members trade out, rooms could be made available to CRO. Members can't make reservations until 11 months, so there would not be any trade outs yet.

It seems like you have to wait until about 7-8 months out for them to be released. I tend to book DVC for my longer trips, and I always have to wait a while. I booked my September 2007 trip last February. Just keep an eye on the website to see when the availability pops up.

Or there's always the option of renting points from an owner, who would be able to book at the 11 month point, if you prefer to be locked in sooner. But be aware that you can't make a lot of changes to rental reservations and there could be problems if you need to cancel. That's why I usually go through CRO, even if it does cost more.

I agaree with Fla4Fun. I always choose to book through CRO even though it cost more. I feel renting from an owner is a comittment, and I can not make that comittment 11 months in advance.
I reserved my 1 Bedroom BCV early in February for this October. So that means it was available through CRO at 8 months in advance.
Keep checking the web site for availablity.
