Question about booking DVC a week before trip

I asked this on the Planning Board forum also, since I am a new poster and wasn't sure where it should go. Anyway, we just passed ROFR on BWV and should close within two weeks. We are hoping to go to Disney on March 1. Any chance we will be able to make reservations using our points at any DVC resort for this upcoming trip? If not, what are the chances of making "quick trips" in the future?

I made a reservation for a BCV studio for 2/2 today. My first request was BWV or BCV, so I don't know if any other resorts were available.

Try you never know. Go even if at SSR or OKW. Have a great vacation.

If you are willing to take whatever size unit is available at ANY DVC resort that is available, I think you should be able to get something. This is a the start of the busy season for spring breaks, but you wont know until you try. We are going to be down March 1-10, and I just modified our reservations last week with no problems.

Thanks for the info. We're so excited. We'd love to stay at our home resort, but anywhere in Disney would be great. After we are in Disney's system, will they send us some kind of membership packet or info? If not, is there some other source of member info?

You never know until you try. I was able to get BCV three years ago with only a month notice and I had a waitlist for OKW come through on very short notice as well.
