This June we wil be going to WDW for 10 lovely days of magic and we are flying in from florida while our relatives are flying in from kansas. we both will be arriving aroun 11:00 a.m. and we were wondering if we should get an early start and hit blizzard Beach that same day. now we now that they close at 6:00, so we don't have all day to spend there but if we get that out of the way that will leave us with two full relaxation days where we have nothing planned. do the waterparks fill to capacity? is there any way I can call ahead and check? do they close the park for the rest of the day or do they let some come in as others are leaving? so many questions !! another thing, should we try to go to BB that day we arrive after being on a plane all day or should we just relax at the resort...... HELP!!:earseek:

I have read that it is vital on the weekend to get there early, as it will fill up with locals. Don't know about during the week.

Last July, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon were closed due to capacity by 11 am when we tried to enter. We were driving our own car and were turned away at the entrance to both parking lots. We complained to the manager at the GF and they explained that we needed to use the resort bus in order to insure that we could get in when the water parks are busy. Apparently they will turn away cars regardless of the the passes you hold but will always admit the resort buses.

ASTA is correct. Once the lot is full, no more cars, but you can still go in on a resort bus.

My suggestion is to enjoy your hotel ! The parks fill up in a few hours after opening, especially if you are going after school is out. It will stay that way for much of the day. If you get there late it can be difficult to get a lounge chair. As the day goes on the lines for "rides" is longer and longer.

Our preference is to go when it opens and then leave early if we are ready or the crowds too much.

When we were at WDW last August we were told on several of the Resort Buses that BB or TL had closed for admission and that included resort buses. They did however reopen later in the day.

Have never experienced that - but having been at the water parks when they were VERY FULL and almost too full for safety.........am glad to hear that !

Another good reason to go at opening. Would hate to be disappointed.

It is good to get there early soonafter BB opens. When we go we get there no later than 1/2 hr after the park opens and try to get a good spot for our family. We get the bigger slides (Summit Plummit, Slush Gusher, family tube) out of the way early, and then are able to spend more time doing other slides. Wait times for these rides can get pretty long.
