We were thinking of just taking a taxi to Atlantis on our October 10 Disney Wonder cruise. The question that I have is about the "Cafe at the Great Hall of Waters". Has anyone eaten there? I was thinking that it looked like a nice place to take DD as it will be her 12th birthday.

Any information would be appreciated...

the cafe, went to the Casion. Be prepared the cabs are sort of gross. not up to what we expect here. but the drivers were nice and efficient and told us something intresting locals are NOT allowed to gamble in the Casino.

Thank you for your reply. That is an interesting fact about the casinos.

I had thought that I had seen where someone had eaten at one of the restaurants at Atlantis, but I can not find where I saw it now.

Thanks again for your reply.

Whap happened to the infamous rufus I tried to book comfort suites today and got a rude chick who said there are not cruise rates and when I asked for rufus she said he does not work there any more

disfanatiks,
Hubby and I ate at Atlantis when we cruised in January. We at a a restaraunt called ATLAS. Atlantis is a beautiful resort with plenty of places to eat, and shop. We have some picture's of Atlantis at
www.picturetrail.com. Where it says view album/members name put Tluvs2talk. We are also sailing October 10th.

it's such a huge hotel.....i'm sure there are many places to eat...
the only menu we looked at was the cafe by the aquarium....
for one thing the waiting line was a mile long (we were on the 4th of july cruise, a time that atlantis was fully booked....which means thousands of people...it's a gigantic place)..
anyway, the prices at that cafe seemed extremely high....but had the line been shorter we might have had a bite....
instead we headed back to the ship to catch the special showing of lilo & stitich on the big screen in the walt disney theatre.....we ended up ordering lunch from room service and it was wonderful....(i ordered two meals for each person.....after a few hours using the pools and slides at atlantis we were starving..)

Teri,

Thanks for the pictures. They were great!!!! I am so excited about the upcoming cruise. Maybe we will see you on there....

df....thanks...I was wondering about the prices...I guess we will just go with the flow and see how crowded everything is. Although, room service sounds nice as well. :)

Hi, Tluvs2talk..... great pictures!! but for some reason I could only look at the thumbnails... it wouldn't blow them up!! Hhhmmmm???

Also... love that music while viewing!!! I have heard this before, but do not know what exactly it is, or where to get it!! What CD is this?

Thanks so much!

disfanatiks,
I hope to see you too!! If you see me feel free to come and say Hi. We are taking my Niece (Amanda) age 12, and Nephew (James) age 10. This is their first cruise. here is a link to the Atlantis Resort. They have a section thay tells about the restaurants, and what they serve. www.atlantis.com

Wishing on a star- The music is a sound midi clip from "THE LITTLE MERMAID" it is called Under The Sea. Glad you like the picture's. You should know be able to click on a picture, to gat a full size version.

We were just at Atlantis on Friday, Sept. 13th. We did not eat at the restuarants but I did see the menu for the cafe close to the water slides and a cheeseburger was $14.00!! The kids meals were $8.00. These prices were too high for me!! We ordered room service on the ship and took it with us! We had a room at the Comfort Suites and it had a fridge so we put the food in there. If you are staying at the Comfort Suites, ask about early check-in. We were told when we made the reservation that check-in was 3pm. We arrived about 10:30am and got a room right away.. I booked the reservation over the internet and got and internet rate of $166.50. With taxes and everything it was $200 total. We had a great time and be sure and do the slides that go through the shark tank. They were great fun!!!
