Question about AP renewal & military ticket

Long story short, my AP expires in June right before our trip. I am unsure if I am renewing it as of yet, but will be purchasing military salute tickets this weekend for the kids. I will not be renewing their passes. However, I was wondering if I decide between now and June that I want to renew my AP, can I apply the amount I spent on the military salute ticket towards my AP renewal ($169 towards the $574)?
I need to decide quickly since my 60 day window opens this weekend for FP+.

I do believe I saw that you can, but because they are so deeply discounted, there is NO price bridging for the military salute tickets. I am sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :goodvibes

Oh, I'm not worried about bridging at all (that's why I put the $169 toward my $574 renewal). I actually think bridging is over and done with as it is (for any tickets).

I thought I saw it somewhere that I could apply it to the renewal or purchase of an AP...I just can't find it anywhere...LOL.

1- I actually think bridging is over and done with as it is (for any tickets).

1- Sorry, but that is INCORRECT information. A rumor posted by another site and perpetuated
by others reposting the bad info.
The price-bridging of tickets purchased from authorized WDW ticket re-sellers/discounters continues, just as it has been done in the past.
(I don't want others reading this to get the wrong info.)

2- Yes, you can apply the price you paid for the Military ticket to
an AP upgrade.

good to know on the bridging...just have never done/needed to do that.

I know I can upgrade the military ticket to an AP, but I already have one...it would be toward renewal. Does that matter???

Won't be a problem.
