question about AP rates

I have been to Disney and stayed on site many times but I am an AP newbie. I am going in August and again in Feb. so I plan to get an AP. How do I get the AP rates and how soon in advance do they usually come out? If I make the August res now how do I go about chaning it to the AP if there are any available? I know from reading the board that many of you do this all the time so I hope someone can clue me in.

Keep checking www.mousesavers.com - the AP codes and other codes will be listed there as soon as they're released. If you make your ressie before the codes are released you can call CRO back once the code comes out and ask to have it applied to your ressie. Codes generally come out a few months before your check-in date. Aug. codes should be coming out soon

Thanks for the quick response. I have been checking every day for new codes and since I just decided on the AP I will now check for that. I have never had two trips this close. Feb will be just a few days because DH wants to go to a convention in Orlando. Since he wants me to do along I made Disney a condition to my going. These wil be my first adults only trips in 21 years and I am so very, very excited. It will be a whole new Disney
