Question About AP Rates

I'm booking the WL today for 3/24/05-4/2/05 (which will coincide with Easter next year.) We have the Disney Visa and I plan to use it for our deposit. We also have AP's.

I know that AP rates were released recently which coincided with Easter break 2004. Hypothetically speaking of course....

If I book our room today and call back closer to our trip (I'm guessing in early Feb.) and they have rooms available at WL with the AP discount rate, will they give me that rate on my already booked room?

We got the AP rate at WL Lodge one year and it saved us so much money. I would feel bad if I booked so early now and then couldn't get the rate if it was released at a later date. We've only taken advantage of the AP rate twice so I'm not really sure how it works.

***ETA: I think if I want the AP rate I have to go the week AFTER Easter... I'm sure that the rooms aren't discounted during a heavy travel period, right?

At this time, they will allow you to apply an AP rate to an existing reservation, provided, like you said, they have rooms availvable to apply that rate to when you call.

They release so many rooms at the discount rates. Once those rooms are gone, the discount is gone so it doesn't matter if you have a reservation at that resort or not. If there are still discounted rooms available during your time period, they will apply it to your reservation.
