Question, not sure if this is the place to put this or not.

I had read somewhere here a couple of weeks back that it may be possible to have two Park Reservations on the same day if you were staying on property for a trip, and have an AP. (haven't tried to do it yet to see if is indeed possible)

If it is possible, would that be a way around the Park Hopping until after 2 p.m. rule if I had two separate park reservations on the same day?

Well that’s an interesting question. We have APs and 10 days on site next month. One of the things we love about FW is food booths for lunch but now can’t hop over until 2pm. This would solve our food booth issue if we can hold 2 park reservations. But would it block others from Epcot ressies? Or is Epcot demand low enough it’s not an issue?

I have an AP and also stay on site. I have not been able to book more then 1 park reservation per day. All of this info is on your MDE, so once you have a park reservation made, that's it, there is no separate "system" for AP and hotel stays. It is just on your MDE. It does allow you to bypass the AP restriction and book for your whole stay.

I have an AP. I'm going on Tuesday (Sept 21). I'm staying on site. I have reservations for all 10 days. I cannot make a second reservation for any of the days. It's too bad you can't remember where you read that.

When some folks upgraded tickets-in-hand to a new AP, and made new park reservations in the new park reservation system, the old reservations didn’t drop immediately. However I haven’t read of anyone actually “hopping” with the extra reservation. Presumably the entrance system won’t allow it (but this is Disney IT so who knows).

I haven’t activated our AP yet but do have park reservations. When you say “the old reservations didn’t drop immediately” what do you mean? Will the reservations I made with the gold AP vouchers be canceled when we activate it and get the new AP?

You should be fine without rebooking anything. It was rumored (untrue) people would lose park reservations so some CMs rebooked those when someone upgraded to AP when they first went on sale. And there is an enhanced park reservation system now that gives AP option of with-resort or without-resort.
