Question about Annual pass and blackout dates

Am confused, hope some of you can give me some advice.

We have a break booked for 18th to 22nd of March. (cheyanne)
When I'm there in November for my birthday, I'm gonna use my birthday offer to get a francilien pass for €45
If I were to call Disney and take myself off the booking, would it be possible to add me on when we check in like I've heard many have done in the past?
Also the 19th is a blackout date, so I would have to buy a one day ticket.

So my question is, would it benefit me doing it this way, or just keeping things the way they are?

Hope this makes sense, as I'm kinda confused already

if you take yourself off the package booking for March, Disney would charge you 10% fee to change your booking as its a downgrade (ie lesser value package than you originally booked). Plus as you say, you'd have to buy yourself a one-day park pass for your Francillien blackout date. So no, not worth it I'd have said.

You could always phone Disney and ask them how much it would cost to take you off the booking, so you know how much money you're looking at. If you're the lead name, that will need to change too if you want your name off it.

Nothing wrong with getting the Francillien in November, using it for the discounts in the parks, and for any future trips between March and next November, adding your name at check-in.

I thought there would be some sort of charge. And yeah my name is the lead name, and we got the break pretty cheap anyways, so probably not worth it. I am thinking of another trip or 2 before next November so probably use it then. Thanks.

Not sure about the pass, but re downgrading if it's outside a certain time limit I don't think you will be charged, I downgraded out Hotel New York booking to Hotel Cheyenne and didn't incur any fees and the lady I spoke to said it was because it was outside a certain period but I can't remember how long.

ps what's the birthday offer ?
