I have a DS who will turn 3 the week after our trip in Sept. He's a big kid - and I'm wondering if anyone will question us on whether he is really 2 (and thus free) or not. Will I have to carry a birth cert for him?

DS turned 3 during our trip. I was never questioned about his age etc. If you are concerned you can always bring a birth certificate but I doubt it will be an issue....

:flower:

We went 2 weeks shy of our daughters 3rd bday. She is tall for her age. She is 4, close to 5 now and people think she is 6. We never got asked if she was really 2 or not. I do not think that you'll have a problem with it. There are alot of taller than average 2 year olds. Have fun!

We have 14 days until take off! :cool1: :cool1:

Bring the birth certificate - it won't take up much (any?) room and is well worth the piece of mind. We're bringing our nearly-3 yo girls' passports as well since we'll be crossing the 49th parallel and all ;-)

We'll be there about 4 months before our dd turns 3, but I plan to bring a copy of her BC just in case. She's tall, has tons of hair and talks very well for her age, so even now at only 2 yrs 4 months, people have asked if she's 4. Eeeeek!!

Even though I doubt the CM's will ask for it, it'll give me peace of mind knowing I can prove it if I need to.

we have never been asked and our son turnee four during our trip and was told that they go by the age at the beginning of the trip. I dont condone this but I know poeple that tell walk in and their son was FIVE.

Our daughter was very tall two when we went and the most any of the CMs did was ask how old she was while opening the gate for me. When I replied, "Two" they smiled and told us to have a wonderful time. We did get asked a number of times entering the park but no one ever acted like they didn't believe me.

I had the opposite experience. My DS turned 3 a day or two into our trip. When my sister-in-law made our reservations, she verified several times that the children are considered by Disney the age they are when you arrived. She was told that since he was 2 the day we checked in, we did not need a ticket. We checked into POFQ the first day and did Downtown Disney at night (DS was 2). The next day was his 3rd birthday -- celebrated at MK. Next day was Epcot -- my sister took him through the turnstiles and the man stopped her and asked how old he was. She immediately turned to me because she didn't know what to say. I told the man he had turned 3 the day before. He told me I'd need to stop at Guest Services to buy a ticket for him. I explained that he was 2 when we checked in, but he said I still needed to buy a ticket. He did let us through but was very nasty about it. I checked with my DSIL later to confirm that we did not need a ticket for him -- and that was definitely what she had been told when making the reservations. So, I figured I'd worry about it if anyone else stopped us again -- then I'd go to Guest Services. No one else stopped us the rest of the trip -- but I held my breath every time we went into a park! I knew we weren't breaking any rules -- but he made me feel like we were! For your peace of mind, I'd bring a copy of his birth certificate.

I had the same prob last year. The only time I was asked was in MGM. They asked where her card was. I said she 's two. They let me go

We were asked when we visited last December - one week after my DS had turned 2 at MK. She did belive me when I told her and there was no issue. This year we visit in October and DS is 3 late Nov. I will be taking his passport to be on the safe side.
