Question about ADR's

This is a silly question that I probably know the answer for already, but in order to start booking your ADRs when your window opens, you must have park tickets already booked as well right? As in, your hotel reservation is not enough to allow you to book your ADRs?

You do not need park tickets to book dining reservations. Actually, you don't even need hotel reservations for the 180 day mark. If you want to be able to book all your reservations at one time when your window opens you must be staying in the park because that is the only way you can book the 180+10. Sometimes I am planning a trip but haven't yet booked it when the 180 mark approaches but I will make a couple dining reservations without having hotel or park tickets.

ANYONE can start booking ADR's 180 days in advance.
if you don't have a resort reservation you just can't do 180+10.
and of course if your ADR is in a park then you will need a ticket the day of.

OK, we are trying to book in stages, so we are booking our hotel this week first. I still got until the end of April for my ADRs, but I just wanted to make sure we don't need our park tickets booked before we do the ADRs.

A follow up question too, because its a group of 8, we will be booking two rooms. Can say for example, I book the ADR for all 8 persons under my one hotel reservation? I figure you can but I just dont want to encounter any unforeseen setbacks. It makes sense to be able to though.

i booked ADR's for our group as a whole which is what you should do if you want to ensure that you will be seated at the same time and in the same location in the restaurants.

Ok thank you! Thats why I was saying it wouldn't make sense if they didnt let you do that lol. My sister is worried that if we can't book hotel reservations under the same account, that we won't be able to book stuff for everyone. We will just have to be extra careful how we book FP+s for the people in our respective rooms, but otherwise this dining thing is a bit more of a relief that we dont have to worry as much about it (just as long as we can hopefully get into the restaurants we want!)

You can make dining reservations for any number you want. It is not related to how many people are in your room or how many rooms you have.
